Resilient clip with slot and projection e.g. for installing lamp in false ceiling

The clip (2) is slid along a rigid strip (1) of e.g. sheet metal which has a central slot (4) for insertion of the resilient projection (5) from the middle of the clip between two tabs (7) bent backwards through 90 deg. The longitudinal edges of the projection diverge slightly from its free end towards its union with the clip, so that its width exceeds that of the slot over all except a short section of its length near the tip (9), which is bent upwards by the user to facilitate handling and release.
