The compressor consists of a chamber (8) surrounding a drive shaft (5) with a fixed attached pressure reception flange (40) and drive hub (41) rotatable connected to the drive shaft. An adjusting lever (42) connects the pressure reception flange with the drive hub. A swash plate (10) located on the drive hub causes by rotating a forth and back movement of the pistons (7) via a piston connecting rod (11). The draft angle of the swash plate is dependent on the chamber pressure which is adjusted by a pressure adjusting valve according to the heat load. The smallest angle is adjusted when the highest pressure is applied. The forces on the swash plate via the pistons and the pistons connecting rods are directed by a contact surface on the drive hub to a further contact surface on the pressure reception flange and lead the forces by an axial bearing onto the chamber housing (4).
