<p>An agricultural type tractor (1) for the direct laying underground of flexible pipes or cables (23) wherein the tractor three point linkage (4, 5, 6, 7) supports a shaker/vibrator member (17) on a support member (8), said support member also supporting a plough type ripper (10) implement for forming a trench underground and a freely rotatable coulter disc (9) for clearing roots and the like mounted in front of the ripper implement, the irregular vibrations generated by the shaker/vibrator member being transmitted to the ripper implement and the coulter disc and also to a rearwardly trailing roller (11) pivotally mounted on the support member. A reel member (22) is supported above the tractor for accommodating a supply of flexible pipe or cable to be guided through tubular means located at the rear of the ripper implement and laid in the prepared trench.</p> |
