The joint outer half has four evenly spaced inserts forming guide grooves (3) pivoting on axes parallel to that of the joint, being coupled by lengthwise portions at their sides to the inserts adjacent to them. The inner half has radial arms (5) with rollers (7) engaging in the grooves. Each insert in the outer half (1) has in its outside a rectangular opening (4) extending in the axial direction. The corresponding arm on the inner half (2) has a convex spherical end face (19), by which it bears against a mating face (26) in the outer half. The latter can have a supporting cam (8) for each groove, of part-cylindrical cross-section, running in the axial direction and protruding radially inwards.
