Earth drain insertion method - involves placing drain in injection pipe, forced into ground by ram block

Method for placing a drain in the earth involves it being placed temporarily in an injection pipe. Drain and injection pipe are then rammed into the ground to the required depth, after which the injection pipe is withdrawn, leaving the drain in situ. The injection pipe (13) is formed as a thin walled unit with a shape corresponding to that of the drain (14) and is forced into the ground by means of a ram block (7) engaging on an eccentric part at its top end. The ram unit has a conduit for the injection pipe which supports the pipe over its entire length, being provided with a failry large number of supports or pins for this purpose.
