Hinge for lid of mains electric supply socket

The socket and cover are made from rigid plastics and is designed for flush mounting on a wall. The three pin socket (4) is set into the centre of an intermediate plate (3). The intermediate plate (3) is retained by the bevelled outer frame (2). The lid (1), which fits over the intermediate plate (3), is hinged along its edge (14) and held by spring wires. The ends of the spring wires fit into blocks in the corners of the lid. The wires pass through slots (9) and its terminal loops are secured under the intermediate plate.
