The seal (10) bearing element (12) forming the angled surface (24) has an inwards projection (30) which grasps an outwards undercut (32) from behind or above at an apron (14) as adjoining or hanging down parallel to the side face of the building (16). The angled surface (24) reaches further forward than the undercut (32) and the apron (14) is pressed to a specifically elastomeric bearing (12) in relation to this when grasping home from behind or below. The bearing (12) is pref. latched home (42) into the building and is pre-tensioned towards the building as installed. Bearing and surface (24) are surmounted and in part covered by a sealing strip (20). The bearing can be cut to length from metric stock, using extruded elastomer as apron (14) also cut to length on site. The inwards projection (30) is surmounted by a U-shaped recess (38) which stands open to the building (16) and whose height is double that of the undercut (32).
