Hydraulic rim brake system for bicycle

The system comprises a turnable body which rotates about a pivot axis (17) and has an eccentric pulley (9). This has a clamp for at least one brake cable (8) to operate the brake arms (2) of the conventional brake system. A slave cylinder (7) is movably fastened to the pulley, so that it can adapt to the varying angle of the incoming brake cable. The brake cable runs on the outside of the pulley, and thereby generates a non-linear brake force transmission. A piston in the hydraulic/mechanical transmission mechanism (6) is connected to a toothed rack. This drives a toothed gear, which in turn rotates the pulley.
