Whirlpool accessory for mounting in bathtubs

The whirlpool accessory consists of a flanged housing (1) with tube connection (6) for the compressed air supply to the whirlpool jets. The housing incorporates an on-off valve which is pref. electromagnetically operated. The housing has a threaded OD (4) with which it is screwed into the side of a bath tub up to its flange (3). The thread is covered with a two-part adhesive paste (5), the activator part of which is contained in microcapsules. The microcapsules are crushed on assembly so that the adhesive can set. A silicone seal is mounted between the flange (3) and the wall of the bathtub.
