A bolt for a door, a window or the like is intended to be pivoted in an opening 6 in a structure in order to lock and open the structure, such as the door, the window or the like. The bolt comprises a part 1 which is located outside the opening and is used to control the movement of the bolt, and a part 2 which is located inside the opening and is used to secure the bolt pivotably about its axis of rotation A in the opening 6. The part 1 located outside the opening 6 and the part 2 located inside the opening 6 are designed to be inserted together into the opening 6 from the outside, and the bolt further comprises a securing part 3 which can be secured immovably in the direction of the axis of rotation A in order to secure the bolt in the structure. <IMAGE>
