The board (2) has a wipe-clean surface, and a suitable pen (3) which is attached to the board by a strip of self-adhesive material (4). The back of the board has fixings (1) for attaching it to a suitable surface, e.g. in the form of suction cups, adhesive or nails. The portion of the pen which attaches to the self-adhesive strip is its cap. The cap can be covered with a layer of a velours fabric and attach to a strip of hooked material on the board.
