METHOD OF INPUTTING DIRECTION DATA

Proposed is a method of entering, by means of a numerical keypad, direction data into broadcasting or navigation equipment fitted with a computer device. The method calls for the cardinal points of the compass to be allocated to the outer keys on the keypad. Pressing the appropriate keys enters the direction data. Of the traffic information received by RDS-TMC, only that corresponding to the cardinal points keyed in is communicated to the driver.
