A horizontal screen separator (1) of the present invention includes a base (5) having a housing (3) mounted thereon which contains a horizontal screen basket (41) for receiving product to be dried. The basket (41) is rotatably and vibrationally driven to dry the product. The separator (1) includes two motors (61 and 81), one to impart rotational motion to the basket and the other to impart vibrational motion to the basket. The basket is rotatably fixed to a shaft (57) driven by the rotating motor. The vibratory motor (81) drives a shaft in operative contact with the rotating shaft, having an eccentric mounted thereon. The vibratory motor drives the vibratory shaft (89) to induce vibration in the basket. The basket also includes a lip (51) or extension formed from screen as a right cylinder to increase the drying time of the product.
