Ball joint in twin-rod wheel suspensions

The stop mechanism comprises a stop (58) on the housing base and a counter stop (62) on the joint head coaxial with the axis (60) of the joint pin (40). The stop fixed on the housing is arranged rotationally symmetrical and coaxial with the axis of the pin in its construction position. The stop and counter stop are spaced from each other in the axial direction of the pin when the joint is constructed. The stop is pref. frustoconical and the counter-stop is formed by a conically tapering indentation (62) moulded into the joint head (38) of the pin (60). The stop or counter-stop could be convex and the other part concave.
