A tripod universal joint comprising an outer joint member (1) with three internal recesses (16); an inner joint member (2) with arms extending into the recesses in the outer joint member and each carrying a roller assembly comprising a roller (5) and roller carrier (4) with needle bearings (9) therebetween, the roller being able to move lengthwise of its arm and tilt relative thereto; wherein each roller has a running face (12) of part spherical configuration engaging opposed concave part circular track parts (14) in the recess and wherein the roller is secured to the roller carrier in the direction axially of the roller by two securing rings (8, 18).
