The apparatus is for assembling the box type steel structure such as a beam, a girder, and a column of marine structure, a bridge or a large sized crane. It comprises a pair of saddles(5) running longitudinally in a reference plate; a pair of posts extended upwardly from each saddle(5); a platform(2) connected to the two posts(1); a lift actuator(3) extended from the flatform(2); and a press actuator(4) extended toward inner side from the posts(1).
