Drive unit for cleaning accessory

The drive unit is for a cleaning accessory (70) having an adjustable inner tube section (2), and an outer tube section. Brush strips (10a,10b,...) are provided opposite the inner tube section having positioning cams (5a,5b,...) for adjusting them in the radial direction. The drive unit comprises a drive motor (1,1a) positioned lateral to the middle axis (100) of the cleaning accessory. The motor is coupled to a rotary secured (11-13) hollow cylindrical coupling ring (20) by a chain, V-belt or toothed belt. The coupling ring is axially open on both sides and has a flange region where the cleaning accessory can be brought into rotary contact.
