The equipment installed in each vehicle includes a receiver (1) and decoder (2) of the time-end-beacon code (ZBC) continuously transmitted from each section beacon, and of a control code (KC) from stationary or mobile beacons which causes a transponder (10) to transmit a different code (FZB) after computation of the toll (NB) for that particular section.The received code enters a shift register (3) for comparison (4, 5) of its contents with a directional symbol (RK) alternating between zero and 1, and a section symbol (StK). If the RKs differ while the StKs are identical, a gate (6) is opened into a buffer register (7)
