Linear stepping motor ramp calculation for electrographic printer or copier

The stepping motor ramp involves predefining a starting frequency, an end frequency and a ramp time. The number of necessary steps are calculated using a mathematical relationship involving the predefined values. Alternatively, the desired number of steps can be specified and one of the other three parameters calculated. The required step duration for each step between two drive impulses is calculated from the four parameters using a mathematical relationship and an iteration.
