Applicator for a solid styptic to aid local wound treatment in e.g. minimal invasive surgery comprises tube through which the styptic is transported with a transport slider (1). The solid styptic is fixed in the end region of the slider, which may be spiked or have a trough-shaped recess (14) forming a holder, having an inner (17) and outer (16) transverse wall. The guide tube may include an additional channel (4) in which a catheter (5) may be displaced longitudinally. Silicone seals or caps may be provided for sealing guidance of an instrument in the guide tube.
