The foam plastics plate, pref. as an underlay for tiles and other building cladding materials, has an applied adhesive layer with a bonding agent content, or the bonding agent is applied to a heated or molten foam surface. The tile or other cladding is applied directly to the plastics layer or the foam surface treated with the bonding agent.
