Assembly to remove solids from water in a tank or cistern comprises a drinking water tank which is recharged with clean water from time to time. The drinking water tank (5) floats on the surface of the main tank (1) holding unfiltered water. Both tanks (1, 5) are linked (11) close to the water surface (13). The drinking water tank (5) is supported in the surrounding water (13) by floats (6).
