The lawnmower handle is formed from a series of lengths of pipework and carries at its free end, the control elements for the lawnmowers operation. The system of linked tubes is designed to be adjusted for the height of the user and to pivot around a horizontal pivot bearing. It is mounted on the frame of the lawnmower and is able to be locked into various different positions, as required. The handle (13) carries a supplementary bearing (17), with a horizontal axis, such that the control elements may be adjusted independently of the required adjusted position of the handle and with an inclination appropriate to provide an ergonomic position or a position which is personally suitable to the user. The two bearings (15 & 17) may be locked into position by means of a common locking device, which is formed in the rod (18) between the two bearings.
