PURPOSE:To obtain the subject fabric, composed of elastic yarn and thermoplastic multifilament yarn, having specific values or above of instantaneous elastic recovery ratio and initial water repellence without stretching and excellent in elastic recovery properties at low temperatures. CONSTITUTION:The objective fabric, obtained by covering (A) elastic yarn composed of a polyurethane prepared by polymerizing a polymer diol, containing a polymer diol which is a polyester diol consisting essentially of structural units, having, e.g. 1000-3500 molecular weight and expressed by formula I (R<1> is 6-10C alkylene having one methyl branch; R<2> is organic group) and satisfying conditions of formulas II and III (the total number of carbon atoms is the sum of the residual carbons after removing carbons contained in the polymer diol) with an organic isocyanate and a chain extender with (B) thermoplastic multifilament yarn composed of a polyester and using the resultant covered yarn and having the instantaneous elastic recovery ratio (%) >=80 (a value at 0 deg.C in stretching 50%) and >=90 point initial water repellency (measured according to a spray method of JIS 1079) without stretching. |
