A bollard body has a lower portion (6) which is of stepped shape to facilitate flexing of the bollard body on impact. The body has at least two undercut steps (3, 4, 5) at each of which, proceeding generally towards the lower edge of the body, the body decreases in width and then increases in width by more than the decrease. The re-entrant portions (8, 10, 12) allow the bollard to flex, without tearing and return to the upright position. <IMAGE> |
