An adsorption process using a polymeric adsorbent resin, such as a copolymer of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer and a polyvinylidene monomer, for the adsorption of organic amine compounds or amine salts from high ionic strength aqueous solutions, a desorption process for the recovery of said adsorbed compounds or salts, and a regeneration process for said adsorbent resin.
