Radiometer for determining the temperature of a body by measuring the emitted thermal noise, and measuring method using said radiometer

Changeover switches allow standard sources of thermal noise as well as an antenna to be connected to two symmetrical amplifying chains managed by a control, processing and evaluation unit. The antenna picks up thermal noise from any part of the human body. The symmetrical chains include low noise amplifiers, mixers, pass band filters, wide band amplifiers all enclosed in screening followed by convertors and a differential amplifier. A superheterodyne frequency changing feature reduces the effect of external interference.
