PURPOSE:To provide a carbonization oven which enables stable carbonization and can keep combustion at a constant heating power in the combustion section by installing a power-driven agitator in the oven and smoothing a layer of coking coal with the agitator to safely and automatically prevent or eliminate the occurrence of blowing at an early stage. CONSTITUTION:An agitator 7 which is rotated with a driving mechanism and smooths a layer of coking coal is installed in a carbonization chamber 2 in a carbonization oven 1 wherein coking coal is carbonized by putting it into the chamber 2, supplying a combustion air to burn a part of the lower layer of coking coal, carbonizing the upper layer by heat of the combustion air, and supplying the resulting combustible gas to the burning section. |
