<p>A coin validator which uses inductive and capacitive effects to validate a coin has an inductor coil close to the capacitor for compactness. The capacitor plate is formed so as to inhibit circulating currents which would otherwise be induced in it by the inductor field, either by providing gaps 79 in one of the plates of the capacitor or by using the inductor coil as one plate of the capacitor. <IMAGE></p> |
