This invention pertains to the new imidazole derivatives with formula<IMAGE>where R1, R2, R'1, R'2 - similarly or in different ways, are H, -CH3, -C2H5, -OCH3, -OH, -CH2OH, -NH2 or a halogen;R' - hydrogen or <IMAGE>,whereR3 - hydrogen, -CH3 or a halogen;R4 - hydrogen;R5 - hydrogen or OH;R6 - hydrogen or OH, orR4 and R5 together form salts, orR4 and R6 together form salts;X and Y - similarly or in different ways, is a link, linear C1-2-alkyl chain or respective alkenyl group.The compound obtaining methods are presented along with pharmaceutical compositions containing at least one of the compounds or their salts. The compounds and their non-toxic salts produce valuable pharmaceutical properties, especially aromatase inhibiting activity, and are suitable for estrogen-dependant disease treatment, e.g.: thorax cancer. They also possess antifungal properties.
