PURPOSE:To provide a sound data access device which compensates data drop- out by delay in reading-out of data at the time of accessing a memory simultaneously with execution of interval conversion and sampling speed conversion processing at the time of reading out the data in the sound memory. CONSTITUTION:This sound data access device has a timing forming means 13 which forms the access timing to the sound memory 11, the sound interpolation timing of the frequency integer times the sound access timing and the sound output timing, an address forming means 12 which forms the address to read out the sound data from the sound memory in synchronization with the sound access timing and a data interpolation means 14 which takes in the sound from the sound memory 11 with the sound access timing and determines the sound data of the sound interpolation timing from the adjacent sound data by interpolation and outputs the sound data after the interpolation as a sound output signal by the sound output timing signal.
