PURPOSE:To produce an alumina-chrome-zirconia refractory having improve resistance to infiltration, cracking and corrosion in an ash melting furnace as compared with the conventional alumina-chroma zirconia refractory having a high chrome content and excellent also in structural spalling resistance. CONSTITUTION:This alumina-chrome-zirconia refractory contains 30-75wt.% alumina stock having >=99.0wt.% Al2O3 content and 0.044-5mm grain size, 10-20wt.% calcined alumina having >=99.0wt.% Al2O3 content and <=0.03mm grain size, 5-20wt.% chrome stock having >=90wt.% Cr2O3 content and 0.03-3mm grain size and 10-30wt.% zirconia stock having <=1mm grain size and it is obtd. by firing at an ultrahigh temp. of >=1,650 deg.C. |
