PURPOSE:To provide a method of finish-machining the rolling contact surface of a toroidal type continuously variable transmission obtaining the rolling contact surface of high finished surface accuracy in the power roller and input and output discs of the toroidal type continuously variable transmission and enabling the improvement of rotational torque transmission efficiency in the toroidal type continuously variable transmission. CONSTITUTION:At the time of finish-machining the mutual rolling contact surface of an input disc 2, an output disc 3 and a power roller 4 in a toroidal type continuously variable transmission, rotational torque is inputted after assembling the toroidal type continuously variable transmission so as to press the power roller 4 to the opposed faces of the input disc 2 and output disc 3. In this state, lapping abrasive grains are interposed among the input disc 2, the output disc 3 and the power roller 4 to perform the lapping of the rolling contact surface. |
