MANUFACTURE OF GLASS-LIKE CARBON BASE FOR RECORDING MEDIUM, AND SUPPORTING DEVICE FOR BURNING

PURPOSE:To facilitate setting of a cured resin base and also to make a sufficient use of the capacity of a burning furnace on the occasion when a glass-like carbon (GC) base is manufactured by carbonizing the cured resin base by burning. CONSTITUTION:A supporting shaft 11 which can be inserted into the center hole 5a of a cured resin base 5 and has a disk-shaped bottom plate in one end part, and a disk-shaped spacer 12 having a center hole which can be put on this supporting shaft 11, are used. The cured resin base 5 and the spacer 12 are put alternately on the supporting shaft 11 made upright and are stacked, and they are put in a burning furnace in this state so as to be burnt.
