PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device with which a good transfer image without image defects can be obtd. by preventing transfer defects of a transfer member, preventing meandering of the transfer member carried on a carrying belt, protecting the photosensitive drum from external light when the upper main body is opened for the maintenance and inspection of the main device, and thermally insulating the image forming device to prevent the heat produced by a fixing device from entering the inside of the device. CONSTITUTION:This image forming device is provided with a blowing means 4 to blow air from an upper side to an lower side of a carrying and guiding means 2 in the image forming device and with a guide member to guide the air flow. This guide member has a first face 26 a second face 27. The first face 26 is used to guide the flow to a separating device 11, while the second face 27 is used to shield the inside of the device main body from heat radiation from a fixing device 3 and to guide the air flow to a transfer member 10 on the carrying and guiding means 2. The guide member is linked with opening and closing of the upper main body and can move to the position to prevent external light from entering in a photoreceptor 5 in the device. |
