PURPOSE:To obtain an image forming device where recording time is short, by taking out image information from the storage means of the image forming device itself and using the information. CONSTITUTION:The only character code signal corresponding to character information is supplied from a host computer 10 to the character processing part 13 of an image forming device 11. The character processing part 13 receives the character code signal corresponding to the character information and outputs dot information. A first bit map memory (DRAM) 14 extends and stores the dot corresponding to character information to be recorded on the bit map, based on the dot information from the character processing part 13. This work is possible to be executed in short time. The information that the dot character information stored in this first bit map memory part (DRAM) 14 and the dot image information stored in a second bit map memory part (Flash ROM) 15 are synthesized is supplied as image data to a recording part 16. Further, an image formation is performed based on this data in the recording part (printer) 16. |
