<p>PURPOSE:To provide the formula a input device with which a formula can be efficiently inputted without forcing burden to a user by automatically judging whether an element inputted during the input of a functional expression can be recognized as a so-called argument or not. CONSTITUTION:When inputting a formula such as when inputting the exponent of power calculation, for example, the end of the input of the argument is judged and a cursor 82 is moved from an exponent display part 83 to a normal display line 81 when the previously decided number of digits such as the element of the second place, for example, is inputted to the exponent display part 83. Besides, when inputting the element inside a root symbol 84, for example, the end of the input of the argument is judged and the cursor 82 is moved from the inside of the root symbol 84 to the normal display line 81 when a left parenthesis is first inputted and a right parenthesis is inputted later. Since the cursor 82 is automatically returned to the normal display line 81 corresponding to respective conditions even without any instruction of the user, the labor of the user can be saved.</p> |
