STENT FOR INDWELLING IN VASCULAR CAVITY AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To obtain a stent which is integrated with a stent constituting element and film constituting element to generate expansion holding force capable of preventing reconstricting or reclosing at the time of indwelling without applying restriction on the movement of the stent constituting element for generating the expansion holding force at the time of resetting right after compressing and inserting at the time of insertion and a process for producing such stent. CONSTITUTION:This stent has the stent constituting element 2 which has blanks to substantially generate the expansion holding force of the vascular cavity by expanding in a radial direction and has the spaces formed between these blanks and the film constituting element 3 which is installed to this stent constituting element 2 so as to close the spaces formed between the blanks of the stent constituting element 2. The thickness of the parts of the film constituting element 3 formed in the regions of the spaces exclusive of the parts near the blanks is made equal to or smaller than the diameter of the blanks of the stent constituting element 2.
