<p>PURPOSE:To obtain good printing characteristics such as offset resistance and smoothness of the image surface by applying a fluorosilicone polymer as a release agent on the surface of a fixing roll covered with a fluorinated resin. CONSTITUTION:This fixing device is used for an electrophotographic method to develop an electrostatic latent image and consists of pressurizing roller 3 and a heating roller 2 which houses a heater 1. The outer surface of the roller 2 is coated with a fluorinatged resin 7. These rollers 2, 3 are pressed to each other with springs 4 attached to both sides. A felt 5 is impregnated with a fixing oil containing a fluorosilicone polymer as a release agent and pressed to the surface of the heat roller 2 to apply the fixing oil. As for the fluorinated resin to coat the surface of the heat roller 2, polytetrafluoroethylene is preferably used. Both rollers 2, 3 are preferably pressed to each other under 1 to 4kgf/cm<2> pressure. Further, it is preferable that the fluorosilicone polymer in the fixing oil contains long-chain fluoroalkyl groups.</p> |
