PURPOSE:To enhance the heating capacity at the time of low-temperature heating without causing an increase of noise of an engine and lowering the durability thereof. CONSTITUTION:In the engine driven heat pump equipment which has a refrigerant circuit 34 circulating a refrigerant by a compressor 2 driven by a gas engine 1 and a cooling water circuit 36 circulating water for cooling the gas engine 1 and wherein the refrigerant circuit 34 is provided with expansion valves 40, indoor heat exchangers 39 and outdoor heat exchangers 42, while the cooling water circuit 36 is provided with an exhaust gas heat exchanger 27, a control means for controlling the quantity of waste heat of the gas engine 1 in accordance with the high-pressure-side pressure of the refrigerant at the time of low-temperature heating is provided. Since the thermal efficiency of the gas engine 1 is lowered and the amount of heat transfer in the exhaust gas heat exchanger 27 is increased at the time of the low-temperature heating, the temperature of a thermal cycle by the refrigerant is raised. Accordingly, the purpose is accomplished without increasing the number of revolutions of the gas engine 1. |
