MEMORY UTILIZING METHOD FOR DISPLAY SYSTEM HAVING SPATIAL LIGHT MODULATOR

PURPOSE: To obtain a display memory reducing power consumption and a system cost by requiring only a capacity smaller than a double buffer memory. CONSTITUTION: A display memory 15 for a display system 10 with a pixel data processing processor 14 and a spatial light modulator(SLM) for generating an image formats data received by a pixel format to a bit face and sends this data to SLM 16 by one at each time. The memory 15 reads the bit face a part of which includes data from one data frame and a part of which includes data from an adjacent data frame. Thanks to this relation, the memory 15 should be provided only the capacity of one data frame so that double bufferring is unnecessitated.
