PURPOSE:To simply get a display which has a small invalid display section and is high in accuracy. CONSTITUTION:A display is equipped with an airtight container, which has a front glass FG and a back plate BP opposed to each other and metallic side walls SW surrounding these periphery thereby making a container, and a metallic terminal LP which are drawn out from the inside of this airtight container to the outside on rear side and are used for external connection. In this display, the end face 3 of the side wall SW is so positioned on the end face 1 of the front glass FG as to cross it, and the section between the front glass FG and the side wall SW is sealed with a seal material SG arranged on the end face of the front glass, and the side wall SW has a recess 5 or a hole 7, and the metallic terminal is drawn out through this recess 5 or the hole 7. |
