PURPOSE:To realize stabilized speed control and highly accurate positioning control by displacing the corresponding poles of one and the other field magnets from each other by a distance substantially corresponding to 5/6 of the pole width and then running them while coupling each other. CONSTITUTION:In the linear DC motor, the permanent magnets 21b,...,2mb of a second armature 1b are displaced from the permanent magnets 21a,...,2ma of a first armature 1a by a distance corresponding to about 5/6 of the permanent magnet 21b. The first and second magnets 2a, 2b are coupled integrally through a connecting part 4. Since the ripple of thrust generated from a pair of armature and field magnet can be offset by the ripple of thrust generated from another pair of armature and field magnet, the ripple of thrust is smoothed resulting in the stabilization of running control and highly accurate positioning control. |
