PURPOSE:To shorten the retrieval time of calling signals by recognizing the frequency of a carrier for a direct call between slave units for transmitting and receiving the calling signals of the direct call between the slave units beforehand. CONSTITUTION:When a system calling code is registered in a system calling code registration means 18, a carrier frequency registration means 11 performs a prescribed arithmetic operation based on the system calling code, obtains one specific wave among ten waves of the carriers for the direct call between the slave units and registers the carrier number. At the time of communication between PSs, a call origination side PS transmits the calling signals to a call termination side PS and the calling signals are transmitted and received by the carrier for the direct call between the slave units of the frequency corresponding to the carrier number registered in the carrier frequency registration means 11 of the respective PSs. In the meantime, in a reception side PS which receives the calling signals, the carrier number of the calling signals is analyzed in a carrier number analysis means 16, the carrier of the obtained frequency is used and a communication processing means 17 performs a communication processing.
