<p>PURPOSE: To prevent a base of a coated cemented carbide material from giving adverse influence on physical properties of a coated material vapor-deposited in a vapor depositing step by specifying a thickness of a first layer of the coated material constituted of a first layer, a second layer and a third wear resistant layer containing metal such as Ti or the like. CONSTITUTION: A first layer directly executed on a base of a coated cemented carbide is MetCXN1- X (0<=X<=1), a thickness of the layer is 1 to 5μm. A second layer of MetCXOYNZ (0.7<=X+Y+Z<=1.3, 0.2<Y<0.8) executed on the first layer is 0.1 to 5μm of thickness. A third layer of MetCXN1- X (0<=X<=1) executed on the second layer is as a wear resistant layer, has a thickness larger than total sum of those of the first and second layers. The Met in the formula of the coating layer is a metal selected from the group consisting of Ti, Hf, V, Nb and Ta.</p> |
