PURPOSE:To improve conversion efficiency and to shorten the time required for conversion as well not only by decreasing the numbers of stroke data to require the conversion but also by defining roughly continued characters or abbreviated characters to frequently cause wrong recognition out of the objects of conversion. CONSTITUTION:At the information equipment such as a personal computer or a word processor, the information of speed calculated from the information of a coordinate position and time contained in the stroke data is previously stored in a setting information storage part 17b of a real memory 17 as data, the information of speed is similarly acquired even concerning the newly inputted stroke data as well, and the respective speeds are compared by a speed comparing part 17d. Therefore, concerning the stroke data inputted at higher speed than the data previously stored in the setting information storage part 17b, the stroke data are displayed as they are but concerning the stroke data inputted at the lower speed or the same speed as the data previously stored in the setting information storage part 17b, character information is retrieved by using a conversion processing part 17f and they are displayed as characters. |
