<p>PURPOSE:To provide a coordinate transformer by which the increase of development cost or the decrease of yield can be avoided and any facility investment can be avoided. CONSTITUTION:This detector is provided with a liquid crystal panel 100 having electrodes 106 and 107, a magnetic field generator 208 for outputting an AC magnetic field from the tip of the electrode, a differential amplifier 242, switching circuits 249 and 250 for successively selecting any electrode of the liquid crystal panel 100 and connecting it to the differential amplifier 242, and a coordinate detecting circuit 105 for detecting the existing coordinate by the magnetic field generator 208 based on the timing for selecting the electrode and the output of the differential amplifier 242. Therefore, since the coordinate detecting function can realized by using the liquid crystal panel 100 of the same structure as a liquid crystal panel used exclusively for display and further it is not necessary to form any closed loop at the electrode of the liquid crystal display panel 100, it is not necessary to provide any substrate faced to four sides of the liquid crystal panel.</p> |
