摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To improve a viscosity sensitive assist circuit for a hydromechanical control valve in a diesel engine fuel injection device. CONSTITUTION: This is a pressure divider arrangement 71 for use as part of a timing control tappet, has an oil pressure supply 26 and a hydromechanical control valve, and includes an inlet chamber having an inlet aperture 84 and an outlet aperture 85, a pressure divider chamber 81, and an exit chamber 82. The inlet chamber is connected to the pressure divider chamber by means of a first connecting conduit 94 having a short length. The outlet side of the pressure divider chamber is connected with the exit chamber by means of a second connecting conduit 95 having a long length. Additionally, the chamber includes a pressure assist outlet aperture 88 which is in flow communication with the hydromechanical control valve. The viscosity of oil flowing into the pressure divider arrangement will be acted upon by the combination of connecting conduits wherein the first connecting conduit is less viscosity sensitive than the second connecting conduit. Consequently, a controlling pressure will be created within the divider chamber, and this pressure is communicated to the hydromechanical control valve through a conduit 74 and influences the control valve.</p>
