PURPOSE: To enable rayon fiber to be dyed with a reactive dye without addition of a base or an alkali by modifying the rayon fiber by adding a specific amino compound to a cellulose solution or the like. CONSTITUTION: This method is performed by sulfurizing a rayon by mixing a modifier such as an amine of formula I to formula V [Z is H, a 1-4C alkyl or the like; ER is an ester group; A is an oxygen atom or the like, and A and N form a heterocycle ring together with one or two of a 1-4C alkylene group; B is H2 N- or the like; (p) is 1 or 2; alkylen is a 2-6C alkylene residue or the like; alk is a 2-6C alkylene residue or the like; (m) is 1 or 2; (n) is 1-4] or 2-oxo-1,3-oxazolidine or 1-(trimethylammoniomethyl)ethylene carbonate chloride or the like to an alkali-digested cellulose, or mixing to a cellulose solution. The objective modified viscose fibers having high affinity to a reactive dye and a direct dye are obtained by spinning fibers by a viscose spinning method.
