REGISTERING DEVICE FOR UNKNOWN WORD

PURPOSE:To reduce the work for a user to newly input the grammatical information and to realize the effective registration of the unknown word in a dictionary in the registration of unknown words by using the syntax analysis in registering unknown words. CONSTITUTION:When an unknown word appears in a sentence, a morpheme analysis part 102 detects it. It is kept in a part 106 holding the unknown word. Then, a part 107 preparing candidates refers to the conjugation rule stored in a conjugation rule holding part 103 and estimates the grammatical information on the unknown word based on the morpheme information on it. The candidate of the estimated grammatical information is stored in a part 108 holding the candidates. Then, a part 109 analyzing the syntax analyzes the syntax by using the candidate stored in the part 108. The result of analyzing the syntax is stored in a part 110 holding the information on the syntax. Then, a candidate evaluation part 111 evaluates the candidate of each grammatical information on the unknown word and cancels the unproper one. It gives the priority order to the remaining ones and re-stores them in the part 110.
